Solar System Essay
The solar system is made up of all the planets that orbit the sun. In addition to the planets, the solar system is made up of moons, comets, asteroids, ordinary planets, dust and gas. The inner solar system includes the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars.
The main asteroid belt lies between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Everything in the solar system revolves around the sun. The sun contains about 98% of all matter in the solar system.
The larger an object, the greater its gravity. Because the sun is so large, its powerful gravity attracts everything else in the solar system. At the same time, these fast-moving objects try to move into outer space, away from the sun.
As soon as the sun tries to call them in, the result of trying to move away from the planet is that they get stuck in the middle. Halfway between the flight of the sun and the escape into space, they spend eternity orbiting their star planet.
With the exception of Venus, Uranus and Pluto, all the planets revolve in the same direction, in the same direction. Mercury has the fastest elliptical orbit, 48 kilometers per second. It has the lowest revolution, 88 days. Pluto’s orbital speed is 5 kilometers per second. It took Pluto 248 years to make a complete revolution.
