Rabi-ul-Awal is the holy month of the blessed birth of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). Like every other year, a ceremony was held in the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal on the topic of the Sirat-un-Nabi (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
The college was fully decorated on this occasion. The college was decorated with colorful flags. The walls of the college were beautifully decorated and the decoration continued until the hall where the ceremony was held. Banners of different colors were also hung on the walls of the college. It was adorned with Naat poems from Iqbal’s pen.
Here are some of those I found to be interesting:
نگاہ عشق و مستی میں وہی اول وہی آخر
وہی قرآن وہی فرقان وہی یٰسین وہی طٰہ
ٰ وہ دانائے سبل ختم الرسل مولائے کل
جس نے غبار راہ کو بخشا فروغ وادی سینا
In the eyes of love and fun, the same first, the same end
The same Qur’an, the same Furqan, the same Yaseen, the same Taha
He is the end of wisdom, He is the Last Messenger of Allah
Who gave way to the dust of the valley of Sina
There was a big banner on the forehead of the college. On which was written “the ceremony related to the Sirat-un-Nabi (peace be upon him)” The program officially began at 10 a.m. Prof. Muhammad Hassan Qureshi performed the duties of stage secretary. He introduced the special guest to the students and the people in the hall and formally inaugurated the program.
The special guest was Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal Potafi, a renowned personality, writer, poet and researcher. Stage Secretary Prof. Hassan Qureshi inaugurated the program and invited Prof. Qari Muhammad Hanif Sahib to recite the Holy Quran. He recited the Qur’an in a loud voice and the audience was amused. Prof. Muhammad Saleem came for Naat and offered the gift of Naat with devotion.
These words of Naat went deep in the hearts
چاند تارے دھنک روشنی کہکشاں
تم ہو سب سے حسین سرور دو جہاں
The moon, the stars, the light, the galaxies
You are the most beautiful, leader of the world
The stage secretary then introduced the judges before the formal start of the competition. Among them was Prof. Chaudhry Liaquat Ali of Government College Liaquatpur, Prof. Ghulam Muhammad Qureshi and Prof. Saghir Ahmed. First of all, a second-year student Mohammad Shahid came and expressed his views on the topic. After that Mohammad Azhar Iqbal, Mohammad Wajid and Abdul Salam of 4th year and Sharjeel of 3rd year gave speeches on the topic.
Although the topic was quite broad. And this is the glory of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). That what has been written on the earth to this day is the name of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). However, the competition was tough and about fifteen students took part.
Mr. Prof. Ghulam Muhammad Qureshi came to announce the results of the competition. According to the announcement, Mohammad Wajid won the third position. Mohammad Azhar of the fourth year won the second position and Abdul Salam of the first year won the first position.
After that, the stage secretary invited the principal of the college Mr. Rafiq Ahmed Siddiqui to express his views. He said that no one can describe the Sirat-un-Nabi or praise the Prophet (PBUH) as true.
In any case, the Sirat-un-Nabi (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is everlasting, incomparable, unique, and comprehensive. And the Sirat-un-Nabi (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is the pure interpreter of the Qur’an and full of the light of faith. He then handed over the mac to the secretary and sat down on his seat.
The successful students were congratulated and given prizes and books. At the end of the ceremony, the principal thanked all the distinguished guests. After that, all the attendees were treated to a hearty tea. This was the end of this beautiful and memorable event. And everyone went home, remembering this beautiful and happy occasion.
