I was never any good at cricket though I love it, as a sort of mystery.

Cricket is a world-famous game. A game develops discipline and team – spirit. Pakistani players are famous all over the world. Last winter, I saw a cricket match in Faisalabad. It was played between the Pakistan Cricket Team and the West Indies Cricket Team.

The match was played at Iqbal Stadium. There was a huge gathering at the Iqbal Stadium. Leading Pakistani cricketers were playing in this match. I witnessed the fine game of Inzamam-ul-Huq. He scored a spectacular 75 in 100 deliveries. He hit eight fours and two towering sixes. But soon he was run out.

Pakistani team made 219 runs The West Indians took their turn. Lara played up to the end. He scored a century. He hit three sixes. There was a tremendous cheer from the spectators. Everybody enjoyed the game. The West Indian team scored 203 runs. They lost the match by 16 runs. The cricket fans were very happy and they raised the slogan “Pakistan Zinda Bad”.
