Child marriage is a common practice in many parts of the world. Although the world is developing very fast, there are some regions that have not kept up with the times. What is said is the dark reality of early marriage. Something that is often overlooked. Child marriage is basically a formal or informal marriage with or without the consent of a child below 18 years of age. In most cases, a boy or a man is older than a girl. A common reason for early marriage is a tradition that has been going on for a long time.
Girls are responsible for taking care of the home and family. Their freedom to learn and play is taken away. Ending child marriage is the need of the hour. To eradicate this social evil, everyone from individuals to world leaders must change the traditional norms. We must empower children, especially girls, to be agents of changing themselves. For this, it is important that they have access to quality education and are allowed to complete their education so that they can lead independent life later. We must tackle the problem from the ground, starting with the eradication of poverty and lack of education, so that people learn better and do better.
