Essay on Red Fort
Red Fort, also known as “Lal Qila”, is located in the center of the city. It is a historical architectural masterpiece and one of the tourist attractions. The Government of India is responsible for its maintenance.
It was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the 16th and 48th years of the 17th century on the banks of the Yamuna River. It is located near the Salimgarh Fort in New Delhi, the capital city of India.
Inside the Red Fort, there are many beautiful structures like Rang Mahal, Mumtaz Mahal, Taj Mahal, Hammam, Dewan Khas, and Nahar Bashisht. Red Fort is built with red stones and designed by highly skilled and professional architects. On the first floor is the BA Memorial Museum.
Sheesh Mahal is located in the northern and southern parts. There is a very well-designed special palace as a special room for private purposes like worship or sleeping. A nice balcony is made of white marble to face the banks of the Yamuna river.
There is also a well-designed peacock throne. There is a Shah Burj which was designed in the palace for the Emperor’s private affairs. The Red Fort is considered the largest of the Mughal palaces and is said to be the heart of Shah Jahan’s empire. The Red Fort has become a grand and attractive palace for tourists from India and around the world.
